Legal
Privacy Policy
HB-DIGITAL designs, builds and maintains websites for small businesses in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. HB-DIGITAL is the data controller for the information described here.
Information we collect
- Enquiry details. When you email us or submit an enquiry we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us about your business and project.
- Order and project details. When you buy a package, Care plan, domain management or add-on we record the item purchased, the amount, the date, and the project information you share so we can deliver the work.
- Payment information. Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment form and are never seen or stored by HB-DIGITAL. We receive a confirmation containing the amount, currency, payment status and the email address you used.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, in order to serve the site securely.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote — our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To deliver, support and maintain the website or plan you have bought — performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment and keep accounting records — performance of a contract and our legal obligations.
- To keep the site secure and working — our legitimate interest in operating the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the business: Stripe for payments, our hosting and database provider for storing enquiries and orders, and our email provider for correspondence. Each acts under contract and may only process your data on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 12 months. Project and order records, including invoices, are kept for 6 years to satisfy UK tax and accounting requirements. After those periods the information is deleted.
How we protect it
Enquiries, orders and project details are held in a private database that only the owner of HB-DIGITAL can access, protected by password authentication and row-level access rules. The website is served over HTTPS.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it elsewhere. To exercise any of these rights, email haibeabdulkadir@icloud.com. We aim to respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Our services are sold to businesses and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
